Former Employee - Operations Manager says

"The management is horrible, and clueless. 1/2 the night shift selectors quit during a shift-it’s that bad. Nobody knows what direction is up. As a vendor that I have known for years put it-“this is a bottom of the barrel company”.-“what are you doing here”. The owner is a rich moron, calls his workforce “bums” and “they can’t go anywhere else for a job”. True story!!!!!!!! Lets not forget the 107 cameras of Julius Silvert TV😂🤣😂."

Former Employee - Buyer says

"If there is a con which you can fathom, this company had is. Way to many to name."

Current Employee - Operations says

"The owner has no interpersonal skills and bullies his employees. The finance department has no leadership ability, lack of knowledge on this industry and in business in general . Finance’s management style is the same as a dictator. HR is complacent to the behavior of the owner and finance department and never leaves their office to support and engage the employees. Ask HR during the interview process the list of employees over the past 12 months who have left, why and contact information for a reference."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"We were all stuck in the same boat. They want things done, but give you no time to do them. Operations people throw trash and debris all over the place but management wont try to change the culture. Never know what Friday you're going to get fired."

Former Employee - Administrative says

"Even though I read the reviews before coming to work here I thought that no company could possibly be that bad. I have to admit that not only was I wrong, it is much worse than any of the reviews. There is no such thing as team work - it's every man for himself. Management, feedback and guidance is non-existent. The place is being run by village idiots. The employee turnover rate is pathetic. The owner is the most slovenly, self indulgent, and oblivious. Reading the positive reviews is truly amusing. One can only ponder that these reviews have been written by management themselves. This company is 1984."

Former Employee - Delivery Driver says

"No personal life you’re life will be absolutely miserable 12 + hrs a day 6 days a week. Screw that"

says

"Management only cares for themselves You can walk past the owner and he won't acknowledge you The facility is dusty/dirty and I would always sneeze when I would walk through the doors There are cameras everywhere, which shouldn't matter if you do your job, but beware"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Never in my life have I experienced such an abysmal working atmosphere. The level of personal monitoring that management engages in is an insult to their employees. Every movement you make is tracked the entire time you are there. Cameras are located throughout the warehouse and also all the offices. The owner amuses himself and passes time by watching the people on camera from his office - between watching television. The turnover rate is shocking. Employees are hired and fired so frequently that in some instances you don't know them long enough to learn their last name. The lunchroom and restrooms are filthy. It's worth to go out for lunch so you can use the restroom at a fast food place. It's necessary for you to put in such long hours that your personal life becomes non-existent. Vacation time that you are entitled to is approved very grudgingly and salary increases are impossible to earn. Feedback is not given by management and your opinion is discouraged. Management has a deaf ear and a blind eye."

says

"Not even exaggerating this place doesn't know how to be run"

Current Employee - Driver says

"poor management from top to bottom supervisor will lie to cover their behinds and to fry yours. I was asked to do something illegal which i refused to do and was suspended upon investigation. company wants u to secure loads without brace bars or straps everything that goes wrong will be drivers fault no matter what!! Be careful with this job they will use you up and wont care about letting you go no matter how good or dependable they are. Will not follow d.o.t rules, but will expect you to pay up for any mishaps that happen over the road. Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"If I could give a lower rating, I would. Every day here was the worst, and despite being new, I was left alone quite often. I was criticized for not putting in orders fast enough despite also being told that I shouldn't rush. They would even assign me shifts where I would get maybe 4 hours of sleep before having to go back in the next morning. Also, there are no bonuses. The people here do not care about you."

Driver (Current Employee) says

"This place is a joke I’m driver who kills their routes in a short amount of time. But management is horrible and doesn’t care about their drivers. For you to get a day off you gotta let them know months ahead of time and that’s if you get that day off, dispatcher is a old drunk that doesn’t stop drinking ON THE JOB and dispatches drivers just let that sink in for a second. It’s a shame because if they knew how to take care of their drivers there company wouldn’t be as bad as it is and drivers wouldn’t quit every other week.NothingDon’t work here!"

"all I do is move the trucks, wash the trucks, take the keys out the trucks after i park the loaded ones. im learning how to do shipping work on my down time. some management is ok and other is bad the hardest part of the job is washing trucks in the winter time. the most enjoyable part of my job is lunch.close to homebad work environment"

Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) says

"Hi been working for Julius Silvert for a little while now and ownership do not value their employees. The workers at Julius Silvert work everyday tirelessly, and this company show them thanks by giving their workers .05 and .50 cent raises and they dont give you that every year it's when they feel like doing it. There is no thought process or appreciation for how hard there workers work."

Truck driver helper (Former Employee) says

"They are always screwing over people by not paying them what they should even when you do your job to the best of your ability and you've been there for years. They are very unorganized and they treat their employees with little to no respect. Julius silvert is the definition of a dead-end job. They'll attempt to trick you into doing tasks that have nothing to do with what you apply for and will not pay you extra for it. some of the employees that work there are decent but the managers or "higher-ups" as they call them sarcastically rude individuals that will do their best to make you feel like a slave"
